MIGHTY Sports defeated Hobe Macway Travel, 75-72, on Sunday night in its debut in the 2017 Republica Cup commercial division basketball tournament at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center.
Sunday Salvacion scored 14 points as Mighty Sports kicked off its title-retention bid in the tournament on a high note.
Jamal Thomas had 17 points for Hobe Macway Travel in a losing effort.
Meanwhile, Racal Ceramica battles AMA Online Education on Thursday, 7:30 p.m. at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center.
The collegiate division of the tournament also resumes on Thursday with AMA University facing Arellano at 5:30 p.m.
