DEFENDING champion Mighty Sports overcame a 39-point performance by actor Gerald Anderson and beat Naughty Needlez, 104-86, then edged Expert Global Solutions, 88-79, recently to secure the No. 3 seeding in the 2013 Danny Espiritu Cup basketball tournament at Reyes Gym.
Ken Acibar scored 15 points and Mac Sabellina added 12 for Mighty Sports against Naughty Needlez.
The reigning champs improved their win-loss record to 4-2 by defeating EGS, with Robby Celis leading the way with 15 points.
MOB completed a six-game sweep of the single-round eliminations with an 86-97 win over Sealions.
Viernes scored 23 points including five triples for MOB.
Skyforce is running second with a 5-1 record.
Raymond Maconocido and Eric Suguitan scored 17 points each for Sealions, which suffered its third loss in six games.
Naughty Needlez is still in contention and will lock horns in the playoffs with the Sealions.
