THE Pampanga Lanterns scored a 91-76 victory over the Gerald Anderson-less Marikina Shoemasters in the MPBL Datu Cup on Tuesday night at the Angeles University Foundation Arena here.
The Lanterns had been already eliminated as early as last week but put on a good show in front of their home fans.
Allen Enriquez ended up with a double-double performance of 20 points and 12 rebounds, Michael Juico scored 23 points on 11 of 14 shooting, while Juneric Baloria tallied 21 markers on top of seven boards.
The Lanterns improved their win-loss record to 10-14, 10th in the northern division.
Pampanga looks to end its season with a win against Zamboanga on Saturday.
The Lanterns shot 54 percent from the field (37-of-68) and outrebounded the Shoemasters, 49-34.
Without Anderson, in the United States for personal reasons, the Shoemasters were a totally different team.
Yves Sazon had 23 points to lead Marikina.
Basilan outlasted Rizal, 94-90, in a battle between two teams at the cellar of the southern division.
Ex-pro Jojo Tangkay paced the Steel with 20 points and seven rebounds.
