METRO Racal Auto Center defeated the Laguna Busa Warriors, 75-72, spoiling playing team owner and coach Nic Belasco’s double-double on Wednesday in the Filsports Basketball Association at the San Juan Gym.
John Amboludto had 18 points, nine rebounds, and two steals for Metro Racal, which notched its second win in as many games.
Belasco had 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Marvin Moraga scored 21 for the Warriors, who remained winless after two matches.
In the other game, Numero Uno Antipolo defeated Quezon City University of the Philippines-Diliman, 70-60, for its first win in the regional amateur league.
Joseph Marquez had 19 points while Mark Montuano added 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Pilgrims, who only had eight players for the game.
Paul Desiderio, a member of the Batang Gilas squad that played in the Fiba Under-17 World Championship last year, had 20 points and nine rebounds for the Maroons, who own a 1-2 win-loss slate.
A tripleheader is set on FBA’s next playing date on March 21 at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center.
