THE Meralco Bolts confirmed the extent of the injury suffered by Rondae Hollis-Jefferson during their game in EASL Home and Away Season 3 against Macau Black Bears last Saturday in Ilagan, Isabela.
The Bolts disclosed the 30-year-old import sustained a right Achilles tendon rupture when he landed on the foot of 7-foot-6 Macau import Sam Deguara in the third quarter of the game at the Capital Arena.
Hollis-Jefferson had to be assisted by his teammates to the Meralco dugout and never returned to the game which the team won, 93-91.
