FOR Uratex Dream team owner Peachy Medina, claiming the Women’s PBA 3x3 Invitational crown is a testament to the winning culture instilled in the program.
“We’re proud of what the girls have achieved, managing the pressure and showcasing this culture of selfless, egoless basketball for the betterment of the team,” she said.

Uratex ruled the tournament after a 22-15 victory over Gilas Pilipinas Women B on Monday at Ayala Malls Glorietta, upstaging five other ballclubs to establish themselves as the barometer for women’s 3x3 in the country.
Kaye Pingol was the rock for the Dream all season long, while Sam Harada was steady. But when the defense zeroed in on those two, Shanda Anies and Eunique Chan displayed the depth of this squad, coming through in the championship game and hitting big shots down the stretch.
That next-man-up mentality is what Medina is proud of as the girls stepped up to her challenge of taking home the title.
“I don’t usually put pressure on the team, but I challenged them to win the WPBA because this is a highly prestigious event. And I’m glad that it showed our growth and maturity both as players and as a team,” said the executive.
