STRONG Group Athletics-Pilipinas bagged its second straight win in the 43rd William Jones Cup when it thrashed Australia-based BSBL Guardians, 91-69, on Sunday in New Taipei City.
Chris McCullough had 23 points and seven rebounds, while Ange Kouame posted a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double in SGA's fiery follow-up to its victory over United Arab Emirates in the opener.
SGA is now on top of the team standings with a 2-0 win-loss record.
PBA Draft hopefuls contribute, too
Caelan Tiongson once again showed his presence inside the paint, as he grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds, several hours before the PBA Season 49 Draft back in Manila.
Fellow PBA aspirant Dave Ildefonso had seven points, while RJ Abarrientos had six points and three assists for SGA, which goes up against the Ukraine national team on Monday in New Taipei City.
