    Pampanga ends two-game slide with big victory over Bulacan

    PAMPANGA gave its home crowd a treat while also halting a two-game skid, trouncing Bulacan, 69-63, late Saturday night in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Lakan Cup at Angeles University Foundation Gym.

    Mark Cruz fired five of his 14 points in the fourth quarter, as he steered the Giant Lanterns to a 23-point finishing kick.

    He also dished out 10 assists, two rebounds and one block as Pampanga evened its standing at 2-2.

    Reil Cervantes also scored 14 points, including the big triple with 19 seconds left that put the Giant Lanterns up, 67-63.

    Levi Hernandez chipped in 12 in the Pampanga triumph.

    The Kuyas saw their two-game win run end, falling to a 3-2 record.

    Dan Sara led Bulacan with 19 points on 5-of-10 shooting from deep, to go with three rebounds.

    JR Alabanza had 16 points, six boards and two blocks.
