MARK Cruz has signed with the Pampanga Lanterns in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.
Left unsigned after playing for two years with Blackwater in the PBA, the former Letran standout brings his act to the regional league.
No details of the contract were revealed but agent Danny Espiritu said in a Facebook post on Friday Cruz will only play for the Lanterns in the next MPBL season.
The 5-foot-6 cager was drafted by Star in the third round in 2015 before moving to Phoenix in 2016 following a trade.
The Lanterns are scheduled to play the Mandaluyong El Tigre on Saturday in a home match at the Angeles University Foundation gym.
