Creighton downs Arizona State to stretch win streak to 12 as Kobe Paras a DNP anew

Creighton's Marcus Foster leads all scorers with 29 points.

THE Creighton Bluejays kept their unbeaten run for a big boost before opening Big East play, downing Arizona State, 96-85, on Tuesday in Tempe (Wednesday, Manila time).

Marcus Foster scored 29 points as the No. 9 Bluejays notched their 12th win in as many games.

Justin Patton came up with 18 points, while Isaiah Ziegner and Toby Hegner came off the bench to deliver 12 apiece for Creighton in the non-conference match.

Kobe Paras again did not play for No. 9 Creighton, which faces Big East rival Seton Hall next week.

Torian Graham went 10 for 21 and scored 24 points, while Tra Holder matched he output by making eight of 15 shots from the field.

Arizona absorbed its sixth loss in 12 games.
