MARCUS Douthit marks his return to the country as he beefs up Narvacan City in the Chooks-to-Go Manila Challenger at SM Fairview this weekend.
The 39-year-old center will team up with Gian Abrigo, Jojo Cunanan, and Dan Reducto as it tries to progress to the main draw and a shot at clinching a spot in the 2019 Fiba 3x3 World Tour Jeddah Masters.
Narvacan, however, has its work cut out for it as it needs to top Qualifying Draw A, meeting Aussie side Melbourne iAthletic and Jakarta South of Indonesia to advance to the next round.
Douthit, a naturalized Filipino player from Syracuse, saw action in the country for Blackwater in the 2015 PBA Commissioner's Cup and even suited up for Mighty Sports in the Merlion Cup in Singapore back in 2016.

His last taste of the action was with the Hanoi Buffaloes in the Vietnamese Basketball Association (VBA) in 2017, before returning to the United States while also making sporadic returns to the country to check on his watersports business.
