THE son of the late NBA legend Manute Bol is following in his father’s footsteps.
The 15-year old Bol Bol has inherited his father’s shot-blocking skill, giving Bishop Miege High School in Kansas City a strong presence in the shaded lane, but has shown even greater potential.
A mixtape on YouTube shows the 6-10 center sinking three-pointers and running the fastbreak. In one sequence, Bol blocks an opponent’s shot, rebounds the ball and runs from coast-to-coast for a driving lay-up like a guard.
With his lanky frame and dribbling skills, the incoming sophomore has some similarities with NBA superstar Kevin Durant.
The younger Bol is currently ranked 19th in the Class of 2018 and has a five-star rating by ESPN.
His father, one of the tallest players in the NBA at 7-7, had a career 3.34 blocking average and tallied 5 blocks a game as a rookie with the Washington Bullets.
