MANILA will represent the National Capital Region in the Palarong Pambansa secondary boys’ basketball tournament after ruling the NCR Palaro recently in Marikina City.
The Big City bets, represented by Chiang Kai Shek College and reinforced by players from Adamson led by Encho Serrano, swept the competition to gain the right to represent NCR in this year’s Palaro which is set to be held Antique.
En route to the NCR crown, Manila beat Caloocan, 73-50, last February 14, before overcoming Valenzuela, 96-62, last February 15 in matches held at the refurbished Marikina Sports Complex.
Manila also defeated host Marikina, 89-56, to complete the sweep of the competition.
