MALOLOS defeated Hagonoy, 74-69, on Wednesday to sweep the best-of-three finals of the Republica Cup LGU division basketball tournament at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center.
Banik Reyes scored 21 points, Arvin Hecto added 15 and Richard Bautista chipped in with 10 points for Malolos in Game Two.
Chris Baluyot came up with 26 points and Junel Legaspi had 22 points for Hagonoy, last year's champion.
Sta. Maria took third place, beating San Jose Del Monte, 83-78, in the tournament featurning LGU employees of cities and municipalities of Bulacan and organized by the Malolos City Hall led by mayor Christian Natividad and sports director Toti Villanueva.
