Makati defeats Pasay to tighten grip on No. 4 in MPBL northern division

MAKATI defeated Pasay, 67-59, on Wednesday in the MPBL Datu Cup at the Batangas City Coliseum.

The Super Crunch scored their eighth straight win and 14th in 18 games, closing in on third-running San Juan Knights (15-4) in the northern division.

Manila defeated home team Batangas, 80-79.

Chris Bitoon scored 13 points, including the go-ahead lay-up that propelled the Stars to their 15th win in 18 games, just a game behind tournament leader Bataan Risers.

The Athletics saw their win streak end at eight, suffering their seventh loss in 18 games.
