LYCEUM fought back from 13 points down to stun Letran, 101-96, to stay unscathed in the 2019 Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup Friday.
Raymar Caduyac scored 10 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter, to go with two rebounds and two assists, as Mike Nzeusseu led the Pirates with a double-double of 20 points and 10 boards.
Jaycee Marcelino contributed 18 points, four rebounds, and two steals, while Jayson David had 11 before fouling out in the last 55 seconds of the game.
"We beat ourselves in the first half. Akala namin its gonna be easy, pero nabulaga kami with a very good first half from Letran," reflected coach Topex Robinson as his side stayed immaculate at 3-0 in Group B.
"We just wanted to enjoy and keep on playing, focus on what we have control of."
From a 92-all deadlock, the usual suspects took over the game late with the Marcelino twins spurring the attack before Nzeusseu dropped the dagger with an and-one slam with nine seconds on the clock.
Allen Mina erupted for 30 points as he went 6-of-10 from beyond the arc for Letran, on top of his four rebounds.
Fran Yu chipped in 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists, as Tommy Olivario got 10.
It was the Knights' first defeat in four outings in the summer tourney as they sat out Jerrick Balanza for the second straight game.
