Lyceum battles St. Dominic, Fatima fights CEU for semifinal berths in MBL

    Jun 9, 2014

LYCEUM of the Philippines battles St. Dominic College of Asia, while Our Lady of Fatima University meets Centro Escolar University on Tuesday for the last two semifinal berths in the 2014 MBL Open basketball championship at the Lyceum gym in Intramuros, Manila.

Expected to lead the way for Lyceum are John Azores and Shane Ko, while St. Dominic will be led by Sherwin Lao and Norvee Monzon.

The Fatima-CEU encounter is also expected to be tight, as the Phoenix try to avenge their losses to the Scorpions in the recent Naascu season.

The Scorpions are looking to continue their impressive run, after finishing a strong third in the recent Fil Oil-Flying V Premier Cup.

Fatima will be led again by James Mallari and Romyl Jornacion, while CEU will lean on Sonny Saber and Erven Silveria.

Waiting in the semis are elimination round topnotcher Sea Lions, who will meet the winner of the Fatima-CEU match; and second seed Wang's Ballclub, who will battle the victor of the Lyceum-St. Dominic encounter.
