LYCEUM defeated Jose Rizal University, 78-74, to capture the Milcu Got Skills Hard To Guard 25-under title at the Enderun Colleges Gym.
CJ Perez tallied 16 points and seven rebounds as the Pirates bagged a title after finishing second to Ateneo in the Elite Showcase conference of the same league last year.
Lyceum coach Topex Robinson says the victory is a big boost as the Pirates prepare for the NCAA set to open in June.
“Hopefully, we can compete against the San Bedas and the Arellanos. We want to create a habit of winning,” said Robinson.
Jed Mendoza had 18 points and seven rebounds for the Heavy Bombers.
