Slaughter recently concluded his campaign with Rizing Zephyr Fukuoka in the Japan B2 League, opening up the chance to play for the Stars during his offseason.

Prior to the MPBL season, the Stars included Slaughter in the roster as a reserve, giving the team the right to field the former PBA player at any time during the MPBL season.

At Manila, Slaughter is set to team up with Al-Hussaini, himself a former Ateneo player during the 2010s.
