The Red Lions outscored the Falcons, 29-11, in the third quarter to turn around the game they were trailing in the opening half.

San Beda finished the eliminations with a 6-2 (win-loss) slate in Group A in a tie with Arellano for second. But the Red Lions were relegated to third place after losing to the Chiefs in their head-to-head match-up.

“Sabi lang ni coach, dumepensa. Then, maintain ‘yung lead para maganda ang momentum going into our next games,” Amer said.

The Red Lions later staved off the Falcons’ comeback attempt after Adamson cut the deficit to four on an Ingrid Sewa slam, 69-65.
