LHANCER Khan poured in 46 points as Tikas Kapampangan roared back from a 21-point deficit to defeat Paranaque Smile 360, 134-126, in the National Basketball League-Pilipinas President’s Cup at the San Dionisio Gym.
Khan knocked down the dagger three in the 1:08-mark of the fourth to give Tikas a 130-122 lead, the gap enough to carry the team to its second victory of the conference.
Tikas won despite trailing, 88-67, in the third quarter.
The win was a huge follow-up to their 124-99 win over Sulong Zambales in the season opener last August 3 in Subic, Zambales.
Mark Manalang also helped Tikas in the comeback win, dropping 20 points and seven assists, as Joseph Francisco added 20 points and 15 rebounds.
Angelo Obuyes had 28 points, while Vincent Rocero added 19 points but Paranaque Smile 360 dropped to 0-2 record to start the conference.
Sulong Zambales at Batang Gapo handed Paranaque Smile 360 its first loss via a 92-87 decision in the game held at the Jun Duenas Gym in Taguig City.
Allen Fomera scored 35 points to give Sulong its first win in their second game of the conference.
