LEVI Hernandez scored 41 points to propel Pampanga-Foton Tornadoes to a 116-94 win over Malolos Mighty Bulacan State U recently in the Filsports Basketball Association Unity Games at the Trinity University of Asia gym.
The former Arellano guard shot 14-of-24 from the field, including five triples, as the Tornadoes tightened their grip on the top spot with a 6-1 win-loss slate.
Hernandez and the Tornadoes spoiled the 30-point effort of former PBA cager Bernson Franco for Malolos.
The Metro Racal Autocenter Artemis and the Quezon City-University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons gained a share of second place by beating separate rivals.
John Amboludto had 19 points to lift Metro Racal to a 76-69 win over Laguna Busa Warriors. Dave Moralde had 14 points as the Maroons beat Numero Uno Antipolo Pilgrims, 71-48.
With three playdates remaining in the regular season, Metro Racal and UP improved their record to 4-3, while Malolos and Antipolo are in fourth with 3-4. Laguna is at the bottom at 1-6.
The top four teams move to the knockout semifinal round.
