STRONG Group Athletics (SGA) team manager Jacob Lao expressed his disappointment and frustration over Mikey Williams' absence from team practice on Wednesday morning, just about a week before the team's scheduled trip to Dubai.
It turns out that Williams' SGA stint was already over before it even started.

"We really don't know what happened (why he suddenly backed out). Everything was in place, and we agreed to almost everything he wanted.
"At first, he agreed to the price. Then he asked for a specific time frame for his arrival. However, he just didn't show up at our practice when everybody was expecting him to, including former NBA stars and starters," Lao bared.

Furthermore, the initially amicable agreement between the two parties quickly deteriorated, with the TNT guard no longer responding to communication from SGA.
"Now, he is not even answering our calls. We have no choice but to look for other options," said Lao.
"This is the first time we have had a player who doesn't honor his word. Now, I understand the management of the team he played for before," he added.
Alluding to Williams' ongoing impasse with TNT, Lao and the rest of SGA has now shifted their full focus to the current core of Dubai-bound aces such as Dwight Howard, Andray Blatche, and Kevin Quiambao among many others, with former Gilas Pilipinas guard Jordan Heading to follow suit.
