LAGUNA, Dasmariñas, and Zamboanga emerged unbeaten at the end of the preseason tournament of the National Basketball League at the Hagonoy Sports Complex in Taguig City.
The Laguna Pistons finished with a 2-0 record in the preseason after beating defending champion Parañaque Aces, 87-82, last Saturday, with King Fadriquela scoring 22.
The Dasmariñas Ballers won over the Taguig Generals, 76-74, to also take their second win in as many games.
The Zamboanga Valientes, meanwhile, beat the Bulacan Starks, 80-59, in their only game of the preseason organized by the NBL to serve as a tune-up for the coming second season of the league which will open on Saturday in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
Pistons, who also defeated the Pasig Rios, 85-67, in their first game of the preseason.
Prior to their win over the Generals, the Ballers won over the Quezon City Rising Stars, 81-72, Junard Caparida scoring 17 points .
Earl Barredo had 14 points, and Louie Pasamante had 12 points for the Valientes, one of the new teams in the NBL second season.
