LA Union bagged its fourth victory, defeating Parañaque, 93-78, on Sunday in the 2021 Chooks-to-Go NBL Chairman’s Cup at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga.

Jayson Apolonio had 23 points and 10 rebounds, and Kirk Agulan had 21 points for the Paower as they gained the solo lead in the team standings ahead of Quezon (3-0).
Agulan also sparked a pullaway by the Paower, scoring three straight triples to start the second for a 25-18 lead.
The Paower, who led by as many as 22 points against the Aces, actually swept their games over the weekend, beating the Muntinlupa Water Warriors, 91-83, on Saturday.
Francisco Tancioco scored 27 points including the marginal triple with 7.2 seconds remaining as Taguig earned its third win and stayed undefeated, beating Laguna, 79-75.
Tancioco received a pass from LJ Mayo to score an open triple from the right wing to grab a 76-75 lead before the Generals sealed the win with free throws.
The Water Warriors, meanwhile, defeated the Bulacan DF Republicans, 103-85, to improve their card to 2-1, bouncing back from their loss to the Paower on Saturday.
Biboy Enguio scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Muntinlupa as it handed Bulacan its first loss after five games.
Dominick Fajardo scored 26 points for the Republicans, who failed to follow up on their upset victory over Pampanga, 93-91, last Saturday.
