MINGLANILLA - Kobe Paras and Thirdy Ravena pulled a cat out of their hat to the delight of the boys of Sisters of Mary School Boystown as they took to the court and played the best the Alloysians had to offer.
The Chooks-to-Go ambassadors mixed it up with the SMS-Boystown team which won the 2018 SBP U-16 3x3 Pambansang Tatluhan Cebu regionals on Saturday during the Manok ng Bayan-Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas 3x3 event.
Michael Carin, CJ Gonzales, Emilio Badiana, and Renzo Gantala had the privelege of playing with the young prodigies in what has been a highly-energetic tip-off to the two-day event in the official kickoff to the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 League.
"We couldn't help but also join in the fun with these history-makers," said Paras.
"It was a treat to play with these kids and I'm happy to be with them in such a historic day like this," Ravena added.
As much as the kids brought smiles in Paras and Ravena's faces, they also did their part and put on a show, with Paras even slamming it home at one point to the delight of the crowd.
Over 1,300 participants were at hand on Saturday in the 50 halfcourts inside the Boystown compound as they aimed to break the record for most young players simultaneously playing 3x3 basketball as well as being the largest Fiba-sanctioned event.
Another 1,500 participants are expected to join in the fun at Girlstown in Talisay on Sunday.
