KOBE Paras scored 14 points but the effort wasn't enough to rescue Los Angeles Cathedral in the match against Torrance Bishop Montgomery, which posted a 59-47 victory on Wednesday (Thursday night) in the Southern Section Open Division quarterfinals.
Paras had eight points in the third quarter as he tried to mount a rally for the ninth-ranked LA Cathedral, which lost to the top-seeded Bishop Montgomery side for the third time this season.
“It's always tough to beat a team three times,” Bishop Montgomery coach Doug Mitchell told Los Angeles Times reporter Eric Sondheimer. “It's a good sign when you don't play well and find a way to win.”
