KOBE Paras is leaving Creighton after a year with the Big East Conference squad.
The 19-year-old forward, who last year withdrew from UCLA and joined Creighton, thanked Creighton coaches and teammates in a Twitter post on Saturday (Sunday, Manila time).
“You welcomed me into your world, into your thoughts & made me a better person...
this is goodbye thank you coaches & Creighton bluejay Fans,” Paras said.
Paras saw limited action with the Bluejays but seemed intent on working his way to the rotation.
The Omaha World-Herald posted the news of Paras’ exit, saying he has received a release from his scholarship and plans to transfer.
The Bluejays reached the NCAA Tournament this year but bowed out at the first hurdle.
Paras played in 15 games for Creighton, which went 25-10 this season.
