KOBE Paras got rave reviews following his stint in the Adidas Uprising Camp in Brookville, New York where he also got the chance to watch an all-star game featuring US high school standouts at the famed Rucker Park.
In a write-up by basketball recruiting analyst Eric Bossi of Rivals.com, the young Filipino rising star was cited as among the players who were impressive on opening night of the camp.
Bossi said Paras can be a dangerous player for the UCLA Bruins in the coming Pac-12 season. The son of former PBA star Benjie Paras has committed to suit up for the Bruins in college after playing high school ball at LA Cathedral.
“A wing athlete with good size and some bounce, Paras has a clean and quick release and looks like he should be very dangerous curling off of screens to bury jumpers in the Pac-12,” wrote Bossi.
The camp was witnessed by several NCAA Division 1 coaches.
Paras also got a rare chance to watch an all-star game at Rucker Park, the iconic playground that has lured some of the world’s greatest players like Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, and Julius Erving, among others.
