MARCUS Foster scored 18 points and Khyri Thomas had a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds as the Creighton Bluejays snapped a two-game skid with an 82-68 victory over the St. John’s Red Storm on Tuesday in Omaha (Wednesday, Manila time).
The Bluejays, coming off losses Providence and No. 1 Villanova, also got 12 points from Isaiah Zierden and eight from Justin Patton.
The Bluejays scored the game’s first 11 points and were ahead 43-30 at the half.
It was Creighton’s 23rd win in 30 games and the Bluejays now hold a 10-7 win-loss record for third spot in the Big East.
Kobe Paras of the Philippines has not seen action in five games.
The Red Storm absorbed their 17th loss in 30 outings, and at 7-10 stands eighth in the conference.
Shamorie Ponds was the only St. John’s player to score in double figures, delivering 16 points on 6 of 16 shooting.
