Villanova clinches fourth straight Big East title with win over Creighton as Kobe Paras does not see action

VILLANOVA claimed its fourth straight Big East title with a 79-63 win over No. 23 Creighton on Saturday in Pennsylvania (Sunday, Manila time).

Eric Paschall had a season-high 19 points, making 8 of 12 field goal attempts, as the national champion Wildcats improved to 27-3 overall, 14-3 in the conference.

Butler is a distant second at 22-6 (11-5 in the conference), followed by Creighton at 22-7 (9-7).

Kris Jenkins scored 15 points on 6 of 15 shooting, while Mikal Bridges went 3 for 3 and finished with 11 points.

The Bluejays, who had a hot start to the season with 13 straight wins, absorbed their second consecutive loss and sixth in the last 10 games.

Marcus Foster scored 25 points on 8 of 18 shooting, while Khyri Thomas had 17 points, making 7 of 17 field goal attempts.

Kobe Paras of the Philippines did not see action for the fourth straight game.
