CREIGHTON Bluejays got back on the winning track, downing the Georgetown Hoyas, 87-70, on Sunday in Omaha, Nebraska (Monday, Manila time).
Marcus Foster scored a career-high 35 points, shooting 13 for 19, as the Bluejays bounced back from a loss to the Seton Hall Pirates.
Isaiah Zierden came off the bench to deliver 13 points on 4 of 7 shooting as Creighton improved its overall win-loss record to 22-5.
Justin Patton came up with 10 points on 5 of 7 shooting, while Cole Huff matched the output, making 4 of 7 field goal attempts.
Kobe Paras of the Philippines did not see action for Creighton, which scored its ninth win in 14 games in the Big East.
JL Peak went 9 for 16 and finished with 23 points for the Hoyas, who could not get a win run going after downing Marquette.
Rodney Pryor scored 16 and Jessie Govan added 12 for Georgetown, 5-9 in the Big East.
