IT wasn't the debut Kevin Quiambao wanted as he got hurt in his first game for Goyang Sono Skygunners in the Korean Basketball League (KBL).
The two-time UAAP MVP suffered a sprained ankle in the second quarter of his team's 84-57 to Seoul SK Knights on Sunday at Goyang Sono Arena.

Quiambao hurt his right foot after a bad landing at the 7:42 mark of the second quarter, putting an abrupt end to his long-awaited debut in the Land of the Morning Calm.
He finished with six points and one rebound in six minutes for Goyang Sono, which dropped to its fifth straight game and fell to 9-20.
Another Filipino import, Juan Gomez de Liano, tallied eight points, three boards, and two assists for Seoul which climbed up to 22-6.
His brother Javi was also victorious as Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters got a rare 74-67 win over Daegu KOGAS Pegasus at Anyang Gymnasium.
He collected 12 points from two treys, four rebounds, and two blocks as Anyang snapped a 10-game losing skid to improve to 8-21, still at the league's cellar.

SJ Belangel was held to just 10 points, four assists, and three steals for Daegu (16-12).
Ethan Alvano's 20-point night also went for naught as Wonju DB Promy fell to Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus, 94-69, at Wonju Sports Complex.
The reigning KBL MVP also added four rebounds, three assists, and one steal in the losing cause to drop to 13-15.
Migs Oczon nabbed two points, three boards, two dimes, and two steals for the no. 2 Ulsan (20-8).
