KEVIN Ferrer made his presence felt right in his debut with Mighty Sports, helping the squad score a big win at the start of the second round of the PCBL Chairman’s Cup.
Already loaded with talent with UAAP MVP Kiefer Ravena and Nigerian import Bright Akhuetie starring in Mighty’s sweep of the first round, the squad added firepower with the acquisition of Ferrer.
The former UST main man scored 11 points in Mighty Sports’ 75-62 win over Supremo Lex on Sunday at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center.

Ferrer played for QRS/JAM Liner in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup and has been joining the practices of Gilas Pilipinas, which is preparing for the Fiba Olympic Qualifying Tournament in July.
Coach Mike Fermin said Ferrer gives the team more versatility.
“Magandang addition siya sa 3 and 4 spot namin. Siya ’yung stretch four namin and at the same time, he can also post up,” said Fermin.
Fermin also noted Ferrer has been doing well blending in and is being patient as he adjusts to the team’s system.
“Ang nakakatuwa sa kanya, hindi niya pinipilit,” said Fermin.
