KENNETH Ighalo fronts Taho Story 3x3 as it aims to make an instant impact at Half Court 3x3 this weekend at Okada Manila.
The former CAVITEX Brave banners the neophyte side as he links up with TH Tumalip, Mikey Macaballug, and American reinforcement Marcus Hammonds in the inaugural staging of the tournament which is spearheaded by decorated 3x3 mentor Mau Belen.
“Excited akong makalaro ulit sa 3x3 and magandang challenge sa amin ito. Kahit galing kami sa iba't-ibang team, 'di na kami bago sa laro ng bawat isa kaya tingin ko naman makakapag-compete kami,” he said.
Ighalo was a vital part of the Braves side which finished runner-up in two Grand Finals of the now-defunct PBA 3x3.
This time, he’ll connive with Tumalip, who last played for MCFASolver Tech Centrale, as they aim for glory in this venture.
Louie Vigil will serve as the team’s reserve.
Taho Story's competition
Taho Story 3x3 is placed in Group A and will take on Reform, Maldor Builders, and Sydney 6ixers, while Group B is composed of MNL Kingpin, LOP Arrovena, Fumes and Vapors 3x3, and Sigla 3x3.
Teams will play a single-round robin prelims on Saturday, with all eight teams advancing to the crossover knockout rounds on Sunday.
