    KENJI Duremdes continued to show the way as La Salle Greenhills-A stretched its streak to three in the Milcu Summer Showcase presented by Got Skills at the Xavier Gym.

    Duremdes, son of PBA great Kenneth Duremedes, scored 30 points for LSGH-A in its 58-51 win over Xavier recently in the 12-and-under tournament. He also scored 18 points as the Greenies beat Hoopin Team, 54-35.

    Mark Anjelo Torrijos came up with 12 points as LSGH-A scored a 55-32 win over LSGH-B to go undefeated in three games.

    In other 12-and-under games, Chiang Kai Shek College defeated LSGH-B, 49-32, with Jethro Obtinalla finishing with 17 points, two blocks, and two steals. Reilly Ong had 17 points as Xavier beat ISBB-Lucena, 47-20. Jacob Militar had 20 points and seven steals in Marist’s 59-18 win over LSGH-B, then came up with 21 points in a 50-34 victory over Hoopin.

    McSteven Esguerra had 34 points and six rebounds as Taytay Basketball edged Eagles, 68-67, in the 13-and-under tournament. Leslie Flor had 11 points in the AMA Lady Titans’ 56-31 win over SJCS.

    In the 14-and-under division, Jedrick Lim scored 14 points as Xavier downed MGC, 42-41. MGC bounced back with a 50-37 win over Chiang Kai Shek College, with Ike Jordan Lim scoring 22 points.

    James Gotladera tallied 20 points as Eagles Blue beat SJCS, 44-26, in the 15-and-under tournament. Miguel Alcabasa had 19 points as De La Salle Integrated System beat Pinoy Youth Dreamers, 63-41.

    The 10-and-under tournament saw Edward Centones finishing with 22 points to lead RP Youth Elite-AMA to a 55-14 win over ISBB-Lucena in the tournament featuring 53 teams and five age-groups presented by Got Skills and supported by Gatorade, Magic 89.9, SLAM, and Blackwater.

    “Coaches and players will learn a lot from this tournament because we give more games to the teams, which mean more exposure and experience,” said tournament director Allen Ricardo. The tournament commissioner is Beaujing Acot.
