KEN Tuffin rebounded from his worst shooting night in the 2020 Sal's NBL Showdown and helped the Taranaki Mountainairs score a 102-88 victory over the Franklin Bulls on Tuesday at The Trusts Arena in Auckland.
The Filipino-New Zealander from Far Eastern University made both of his triples and finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, two assists and a steal in 19 minutes on the floor as a starter.
Tuffin on Sunday had his worst showing for the Mountainairs with four points, missing all four of his three-point attemptsin a loss to the Manawatu Jets.
Taranaki grabbed a share of the lead with Franklin at 4-3.
Marcel Jones powered the Mountainairs with 29 points, nine rebounds and six assists, while Derone Raukawa had 21 points, 10 dimes and four boards in the conquest.
Taranaki scored a 107-95 beating of Franklin on June 24.
The Bulls were led by Dominique Kelman-Poto, who notched a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
The Mountainairs return to action on Thursday facing the Nelson Giants.
