WORK begins for Kai Sotto and the rest of the NBA G League select team as the young studs arrived in Walnut Creek, California on Monday (Tuesday Manila time).
The 7-foot-2 Filipino beanpole immediately hooked up with his peers as they prepare for the groundbreaking professional pathway.
Aside from Sotto, top high school standouts Jalen Green, Jonathan Kuminga, Isaiah Todd, Daishen Nix, and Princepal Singh are part of the delegation.
Head coach Brian Shaw will oversee their development, while also working with assistant coach Rasheed Abdul-Rahman, video coordinator Jerry Woods, and athletic trainer Pete Youngman as all will start with "one-on-one skill-development training."
"Beginning of a new chapter that's about to be legendary," Sotto posted on his Instagram account.
It's here in Walnut Creek where the NBA G League select team will be honing their skills and playing their home games against the other G League squads.
The NBA G League select team is a first-of-its-kind program for NBA Draft prospects, offering them an opportunity "to begin their professional careers while receiving mentorship and life skills training, making it the perfect environment for the professional pathway team."
