    Kai Sotto drops by Georgia Tech, gets home visit from DePaul coach

    THE buzz continues as two more major colleges in the US have shown interest in Filipino prodigy Kai Sotto.

    The 7-foot-2 teen center made an official visit to Georgia Tech on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time) where he met Yellow Jackets coach Josh Pastner.

    Sotto even wore a Georgia Tech jersey as he posed for a picture with Pastner.

    The UAAP Season 81 Juniors MVP also had a home visit with DePaul coach Dave Leitao and is expected to also make an official visit in its Chicago campus soon.

    Georgia Tech last reached the NCAA tournament in 2010, and has gone as far as runner-up in 2004 with a team led by Chris Bosh.

      Georgia Tech also produced the likes of Mark Price, Dennis Scott, Stephon Marbury, Derrick Favors, Thaddeus Young, and former Meralco import Gani Lawal.

      Wilson Chandler, Quentin Richardson, and legends George Mikan, Terry Cummings, Mark Aguirre, and Rod Strickland also played for the Blue Devils.

      Sotto, 17, earlier had an unofficial visit in Kentucky, where he conversed with coaches John Calipari and Kenny Payne.

      The Ateneo High School product has made Atlanta his base as he trains at The Skills Factory.

      Sotto has yet to make any commitments, but his size s drawing much interest after ESPN ranked him as a four-star recruit, the 76th overall and 11th among centers for the Class of 2020.
