KAI Sotto has maintained an aggressive mindset as he puts in the work every day especially since he has been called to start in recent Adelaide 36ers games in Australia's NBL.
"I'm always staying ready for all the opportunities my coaches give me," he said.
See Kai Sotto's season-high 16 for naught as Adelaide rally falls short
Sotto has been a starter in the last seven games for Adelaide, posting 9.2 points and 5.7 rebounds through that stretch with five resulting into wins.
A big reason for that is the 7-foot-3 giant's focus on defense, understanding what his role is for the 36ers, who hold a 11-10 win-loss record.
"That’s my primary role on this team with my size, it’s the first thing I think of when I step on the court is to have that impact defensively and everything else will follow," Sotto said.
Sotto says he refuses to feel complacent as he tries to prove his worth.
"Every practice and every game I get to have I show my teammates can rely on me," he said. "So, I’m always staying ready."
