KAI Sotto had 15 points and 12 rebounds while Dave Ildefonso tallied 15 points and 11 rebounds as Ateneo beat La Salle Greenhills, 89-68, on Monday in the Milcu Sports Basketball Summer Showcase at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
The 6-foot-11 Sotto won the battle against LSGH’s own giant in 6-foot-8 Ladis Lepalam while Ildefonso played an all-around game in the Blue Eaglets’ lopsided win over the Greenies in the tournament organized by Got Skills and sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP).
Ateneo's 6-foot-7 recruit Geo Chiu also made his mark, finishing with eight points, seven rebounds, and three blocks in a game where the Blue Eagles never trailed and led by 15 at the end of the first quarter, 29-14.
Joem Sabandal had 14 points while Joel Cagulangan chipped in 13 points for the Greenies.
