THE Brisbane Bullets held their ground in the face of a brave Adelaide 36ers fightback to pull off a 106-101 win in overtime in the NBL on Thursday at the Nissan Arena.
Kai Sotto and the 36ers fought their way back from 13 points down to force overtime but couldn't complete the fightback, dimming their hopes of making the play-in tournament.
The 36ers slipped to 8th place in the standings with an 11-13 card as the Bullets won for just the seventh time in 24 matches this season.
Jason Cadee capped a 22-point game with some clutch plays in extra time for the Bullets, who dealt the 36ers a fourth straight defeat.
Sotto started for the 36ers and finished with nine points on 4-of-7 shooting to go with 7 boards and two blocks in 16 minutes.
Here's one of his highlight swats:
Anthony Drmic scored a game-high 20 points to go with six rebounds and Antonius Cleveland added 18 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals for the 36ers, who missed team captain Mitch McCarron due to 'family reasons.'
