    Justin Gutang helps Changwon LG Sakers end two-game slump

    Thunders lose again while awaiting Baltazar arrival

    JUSTIN Gutang provided quality minutes as Changwon LG Sakers snapped a two-game skid with a 79-68 win over Seoul Samsung Thunders on Thursday in the 2022-23 KBL season at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium.

    The St. Benilde alumnus collected six points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals to help the visitors move up to a 16-11 record.

    Lee Jae Do paced Changwon with 19 points and seven boards, while former Phoenix import Lee Gwan Hee shot 3-of-7 from deep for his 17 points and six rebounds.

    Seoul, on the other hand, fell to 10-19 while awaiting the arrival of Justine Baltazar.

    Meanwhile, RJ Abarrientos' Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus suffered an 80-77 defeat at the hands of Goyang Carrot Jumpers at Goyang Gymnasium.

    The Gilas Pilipinas gunner scored 10 points, to go with his five assists, four steals, and two rebounds but can't save his side from losing its third in four games and drop to 16-12.


    Ethan Alvano, meanwhile, sat out Wonju DB Promy's 97-63 defeat to Seoul SK Knights on Wednesday.

    The Fil-Am guard was rested due to a fluas his side lost back-to-back games to stay at the bottom of the heap at 11-18.
