JUSTIN Brownlee had an all-around game in his debut for Pelita Jaya Basketball in the Basketball Champions League Asia qualifiers - a 99-81 victory over Hi-Tech Basketball Club on Wednesday in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Brownlee hits 11 points
Brownlee had 11 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in 21 minutes and 36 seconds of play to help Pelita Jaya open its campaign in the qualifiers on a high note against the Thailand ballclub.
Aside from the Indonesia domestic league, Brownlee is also seeing action in the qualifiers of the Basketball Champions League, formerly the Fiba Champions Cup, where his ballclub is seeking a place in the tournament proper.
The PBA has an outright berth in the BCL Asia competition along with the champions of the Japan B.League, Korean Basketball League, and the Chinese Basketball Association.
Muhammad Guntara and JaQuori McLaughlin had 20 points apiece for Pelita Jaya.
Pelita Jaya joined Ulaanbaatar Xac Broncos on top of Group B after the Mongolia team defeated NS Matrix Deers, 80-73.
