THE Junior MPBL will be capping its inaugural season by holding an awarding ceremony on Monday (Dec. 11) at the Amoranto Sports Complex.
The event dubbed ‘Extreme Gaming Awards,’ will recognize the exceptional talent and sportsmanship of young basketball players who suited up in the six-month tournament.
MP Choice Award
Highlight of the affair is the announcement of the competing teams in the ongoing Junior MPBL playoffs and the selection of the MP Choice Award.
The player who will emerge as MP Choice Award will be given a four-year scholarship at the University of Makati complete with dorm, food allowance, and help in the miscellaneous fees.
Other awards to be handed out are Season MVP, Mythical 1st Team for 14-under, 16-under, and 18-under, Sportsmanship Award, Homegrown Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Coach of the Year for the same age categories, respectively.
Also to be recognized is the Owner of the Year, Team of the Year, Team Manager of the Year, and Most Viewed on Social Media Award.
Scholarship handed out
A full scholarship will likewise be offered to chosen 18-under born in 2005 graduates of Junior MPBL in partnership with University of Makati.
Former Senator and MPBL founder Manny Pacquiao is assuring the future of young ballers not only in basketball, but also in education.
Fans are invited to join the awarding ceremony and the upcoming Junior MPBL finals.
