JUMBO Plastic looks to tighten its grip on second spot as Euro-Med tries to extend its win run to five when they clash on Wednesday in the PCBL Chairman’s Cup at the JCSGO Gym.
The Giants hold a 5-4 win-loss card and Euro Med, at 4-4, will be looking to move to take the second spot behind league-leading Mighty Sports (8-1).
Jumbo Plastic is coming off a 74-73 win over Mighty Sports.
Euro-Med and Jumbo plastic clash at 7 p.m. after the 5 p.m. game between SCTEX (4-4) and Supremo Lex (1-7).
“Our objective is to continue winning because we want to secure the top two in the quarterfinals,” said Jumbo Plastic coach Stevenson Tiu.
SCTEX, meanwhile, eyes a follow-up win after a victory over Sta. Lucia.
“Dati kasi parang kuntento na sila dahil isang tema lang ang matatanggal, so I told them bakit hindi tayo mag-aspire sa top wo, kasi pwede pa naman, so yun ang objective namin,” said SCTEX coach Adonis Tierra.
The top two teams after the elimination round earn twice-to-beat advantages in the semifinals.
