JUMBO Plastic scored its fourth straight win and became the first team to reach a triple-digit score in PCBL Founders Cup with a 102-89 triumph over Cagayan Valley on Tuesday at the JCSGO Gym.
Former PBA player James Martinez came away with 22 points on 8 of 11 shooting, while backcourt partner Jeff Viernes added 21 as Jumbo Plastic improved its win-loss record to 4-.
“We’re hopeful for that yun ang kailangan. Yung mga players namin, some of them naging PBA players. May advantage kami. Ang problem nga lang yung how to establish chemistry, pero nagawa na naming the past few games. Also, we should divide the minutes among themselves. As much as possible mabigyan ng exposure lahat,” said coach Stevenson Tiu.
It was the third loss in five matches for the Rising Suns.
Meanwhile, Supremo Lex beat Euro-Med, 80-79, for its first win in fove games.
The loss was the third straight for Euro-Med, which paraded new recruits Pari Llagas and Paul Zamar in the tournament supported by Spalding, Ambucore, Accel and Aquabest.
