CARLO Lim scored 34 points to power Jubilee Christian Academy to an 83-68 triumph over Philippine Cultural College in the Philippine Ching Yuen Athletic Association basketball tournament at the Uno High School Gym in Manila.
It was Lim’s third straight 30-plus points performance as the Jubileeans remained unbeaten in three games in the 18-under boys division.
St. Jude, last year’s runner-up, downed Grace Christian College, 89-69, for a share of the lead.
Pace Academy picked up its second win in three outings by walloping Uno High School, 72-55. It was the fourth loss in as many games for Uno.
Airick Sy had 14 points, Anton Evangelista added 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Jeff Lugay had 10 and 10.
League newcomer Saint Stephen’s High School made the win with a 58-56 overtime victory over defending champion MGC New Life Christian Academy.
Sean Ng hit the game winner, scoring on a layup with 1.6 seconds left.
In the 18-under Girls Juniors Division, Sandra Villacruz poured in 33 points as Jubilee Christian beat Saint Jude Catholic School, 52-44.
The Jubileeans lead with a 3-0 record.
Uno High School, the three-time defending titlist, brought down winless Grace Christian College, 85-47, for its third straight triumph.
