JOSHUA David had 17 points and 16 rebounds to lead La Salle Greenhills-A to a 56-49 win over Eagles Blue and advance to the semifinals of the 15-and-under class of the Milcu Got Skills Summer Showcase basketball tournament at the Xavier gym.
The Junior Blazers-A will face University of Santo Tomas in the semifinals on Saturday at the AMA University gym after the Tiger Cubs downed Xavier, 42-39.
Dave Ildefonso tallied 13 points and eight rebounds as Eagles White beat LSGH-B, 52-45, to arrange a semifinal duel with San Beda-A, which beat Skyhawk South Ballers, 62-43.
In other action, Joshua Tolentino had 18 points, four assists, and five steals to lift Chiang Kai Shek College to a 63-41 rout of De La Salle-Zobel on Wednesday in the 14-and-under division.
The CKSC Blue Dragons cemented their claim as the top-seed team in the semifinals where they will face Xavier School on Saturday at the AMA University gym
The winner of the match-up will face either De La Salle-Zobel or MGC New Life Christian Academy in the set on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Angelo De Guzman delivered an all-around game of six points, seven rebounds, four assists, and six steals to lead Marist to a 41-27 win over CKSC in the 12-and-under division of the tournament organized by Got Skills and supported by LGR Sportswear, Magic 89.9, Gatorade, Blackwater Sports, and Kawasaki.
Marist will also play in the semifinals where it takes on the top-seed La Salle-Greenhills A.
