SAN Beda defeated Letran, 89-82, on Sunday to rule the Metro Manila Basketball League (MMBL) Division 1 championship game at the San Beda gym.
Joshua Lazaro made key plays on both ends of the court to lead the way for the Red Cubs in capturing the MMBL Division 1 crown.
Zach Estacio also scored the needed baskets, while Rhayyan Amsali and Winston Ynot also contributed as the Manu Inigo-coached Red Cubs also claimed a spot in the NBTC National Finals for reaching the finals of the MMBL.
First City Providential College bagged the Division 2 crown with a 85-81 win over Letran-B.
